Our plans and obligations
The way in which we conduct our business is framed by commitments we make to our regulator, our customers and the community as set in our plans.
These plans are delivered in accordance with the obligations we are required to meet as a Victorian Government business enterprise.
Our business is regulated by the Essential Services Commission (ESC) – the ESC approves our service standards and prices for each five year regulatory period following a comprehensive price review.
The current regulatory period operates from 1 July 2013 to 30 June 2018.
As part of the process for determining our service standards and pricing, we conduct research and seek to support business cases for activities to help deliver services for our community.
We seek feedback from our Customers and Stakeholders and more generally from our community about their support or willingness to pay for activities or improved services.

Our annual corporate plan sets out our strategic priorities for the next financial year.
Statements of obligations outline our responsibilities to government in relation to performing our functions.
They were issued by the Minister for Water under the Water Industry Act 1994 (Vic).
